Meet Jill Kenney

Jill Kenney graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2001. Prior to earning her Juris Doctrate degree, Jill graduated magna cum laude from MidAmerica Nazarene University with B.A. in History and English in 1998. At graduation, Jill was selected by the university faculty and staff to receive the American Heritage Award, the highest non-academic award presented to a graduating student. 

Since graduation Jill has stayed active in the MNU community including serving on MNU's Board of Trustees and Alumni Council, receiving the 2012 Alumni of the Year award.

After briefly serving as a Research Attorney for the 10th Judicial District, Jill returned to the Johnson County District Attorney's office, where she worked for more than eleven successful years. Not only was Jill a major crimes attorney at the Johnson County DA Office, but she also traveled throughout the State of Kansas training police officers and other attorneys.

Jill believes that in starting her own practice she could be more effective in helping people deal with a variety of legal issues. In 2011, Jill founded the Kenney Law Firm, LLC. This latest venture has allowed her to fully realize her passion for helping people at all levels of litigation and protection. Jill knows that court proceedings bring stressful times to defendants and their families. It's during these times that a respected and trusted attorney can provide counsel and relief to families.

Jill is licensed to practice law in the State of Kansas and is authorized to appear in all of the courts of Kansas including the Federal United States District Court for Kansas. She is a member of the Johnson County Bar Association.
